How much at most a 1.5 or 1.6 liter engine weights?

Hello,
I am researching for the conversion of a compact/subcompact vehicle to electric, and I would like to know how much a 1.5 or 1.6 liter engine weights at most? If you can add info about fuel systems that would be helpful too. Thank you.
it’s also around 100hp
It is aluminium and has 4 cylinders

There are many ways to build an engine. Most modern engines with the displacement you’re asking about are inline 4 engines but that does not mean it’s the only possible configuration. Mazda, for example, had a 1.8L V6 engine they used in the 90′s for their MX-3 vehicle. A V6 engine will weigh more than an I4.

Also, you can build an engine out of cast iron. It’s cheap, easy to produce, and very reliable. However, it also weighs a lot. Another possible material that is popular among manufacturers is aluminum. Aluminum’s big advantage over cast iron is that it’s much lighter. However, it’s more difficult to form and it can warp more easily compared to iron. Some manufacturers have chosen to mix the two. They will use cast iron for the block but aluminum for the cylinder head.
